Well, that was disappointing. I expected Luffy to do better than this, but as usual he's reset every major fight. Feel like Loki did better.

 

I don't know if there's anything to suggest Loki is any better at using his power, he has the same bullshit tired after like 30 seconds. Hasn't Luffy had his power longer than Loki? I guess the argument can be made that G5 is a lot newer. At this point, Luffy really shouldn't have a lot to learn. We're at the end stages. How much more can he realistically learn? Asspull Haki, maybe?

 

Also, Luffy was like fully gassed up, fed, etc, I just feel like he should've done a little better than basically neg diff.

 

I have no real issue with Loki having a better performance, it just felt like Luffy's was very bad even if you don't compare it. It's obvious that Luffy would "lose" that isn't an issue, the main issue I have is that seemingly it was no effort. Dude had no chance. I mean, I don't think he even got a single hit in, aside from the cheap shot last chapter? Luffy keeps getting stronger, but should that even happen at this point aside from his abilities naturally increasing from getting older? I think the real issue is that it feels like the straw hats are reset every arc. They go from incredibly strong end of arc, then the very next arc are pushed basically to their limits and beyond again, to try and make some semblance of friction. This entire arc feels like the like 3 stupid power ups from wano never even happened. Once again like Kaido felt too strong Imu feels too strong. Like, how are you expected to believe this dude is beaten? If Luffy + Loki get trashed 0 difficulty, what do a bunch of 0s add?

Edit: Like you said, maybe some G5 hocus pocus shit will happen, but I don't think that could make up the disparity, plus it lasts like 2 seconds. Even if it lasted infinite, dude couldn't get a single hit in.

 

I mean he could've done the same ending, just would've felt good if he at least got a single good G5 attack in, right? I don't think that would diminish Imu at all. Maybe. It was written somewhere the more he laughs the stronger he gets, idk if that is actually how it works but maybe the key is simpler than it seems.
