    An uncle of mine (mom's second cousin) passed way today aged 89. I'm actually glad his suffering ended. He was paralysed after a stroke, and bed-ridden for a year. He just wanted to go already.

    Up till 2022, he was very active and fit. Even visited his farmlands where his family grew tonnes of mangoes, and whacked cobras away with his cane (without killing them). When he was younger, he supposedly scared a leopard away by yelling and tossing a ladle at its head.

    Yeah, he was a short-tempered badass.

    I tried restarting my router and trying on mobile hotspot (with two different SIMs) as well. I even tried different browsers. Some issues were solved, others remained; which means my broadband is not the issue.

    Thing is, i would assume it would depend on location too. Like you would likely ping a different data centre to me for cloudflare, etc. So even if I haven't had an issue, it's prob not even an issue on your end as you said.

    How did I miss this! That is very sad to hear, sorry for the loss. At the same time, it's of some comfort that he no longer is suffering. Damn, sounds like he had some huge ******* balls.

    Balls the size of planets. Absolutely pig-headed as well when it came to medical care and hospitalisation.

    I kid you not: The last time he had a stroke (a few years before the one that left him bedridden) he drove his own ass to the hospital while having a stroke and with haemoglobin levels so low that any normal person should have passed out and may be gone into a coma. I am not making this up, I swear.

    He was the kind of dude who'd say that he could walk off end-stage cancer.
