    SIDS, according to my mom's younger sister (she is a highly qualified obstetrician & gynaecologist). The actual mechanism and cause of death is therefore still unknown.

    I feel like something unknown like that at random is just terrifying. If there is some known issue at least it gives people some rationalization of it, but SIDS is just beyond terrible. No rhyme or reason.

    Brave's adblocker is coming as an in-built feature to Waterfox in the next update. It will include block lists and filter lists from adblock+, ublock origin, and Brave's own proprietary lists. I know extensions like ublock origin and privacy badger exist. However, this in-built adblocker will further reduce resource usage and battery usage on both desktop and mobile, and result in some quicker page load times.

    They have rolled it out already on an experimental basis, which I have tried. It still has some bugs to work out, and is currently only about as good as Vivaldi's adblocker. But the full version that will be rolled out with next month should supposedly be on par with Brave's adblock and ublock origin.

    Honestly, I did not think it was needed, given the existence of ublock origin and privacy badger. It would have sufficed if they had just fixed that one bug which shows as "no internet connection" even when it is connected. Then again, that glitch is in base Firefox for Android, and it may depend on Mozilla fixing it first. Another thing they need to take care of is battery drain. Waterfox is more efficient than Firefox, but Vivaldi still trounces it in that regard.

    I use brave shield plus ublock anyway so I guess it's a welcome addition but not mandatory if you use others or vice versa. They are just trying to make the OOBE better so you don't have to install extra third party stuff I suppose.

    Yes, that is their goal. Apparently, ad-block and tracker block being on-built has various benefits with regard to usability and websites not breaking. Then again, I have never ever had an issue with ublock origin breaking any website. Privacy badger has only ever affected twitter for me, but I don't use or give a damn about that site anyway.

    Yeah I think I've had the brave one break websites over ublock. But it isn't often.
