Like a fraud chartered accountant firm in Mumbai

This was basically what happened to Halo Infinite multiplayer. It was outsourced to Ukranian contractors working on 12-18 month contracts, and that too on a proprietary engine that was used for literally only two game series (there is a third, but that doesn't count).

Guess what happened? Halo Infinite multiplayer experience was dog shit at launch and till December 2023. The game released in December 2021. They started fixing shit two years after release!

As Mint Blitz (a prominent Halo youtuber who has been talked about even by the devs themselves) put it: I dream of a world where my children shall not know of Microsoft. Same goes for EA, Ubisoft, and every other big corpo **** of a gaming company.

No judgement from me, man. I mean... I still use Microsoft Edge for work and I play games they published. I have no right to judge you.

 

Oh, yeah. I've heard horror stories of 100 hour work weeks at MS, Activision (even before the MS acquisition), Ubisoft, and so on. I would not be surprised if it came out that people actually died on duty from overwork. And that's not even getting into how toxic the workplaces are in general.

I say let Luigi out of jail, and make what he did his permanent job. He's clearly good enough at that shit.

Starting up Republic Commando again tonight, and I'm going to take it slow on the highest difficulty (which is brutal, by the way). Because it's actually good in terms of story and atmosphere and gameplay, has music that is ungodly good, and was made with actual passion and love.

 

Mostly during crunch. But probably during other times as well. Because the execs can't go to sleep at night till they screw someone over on a given day. The poor dick waffles.

Fun and Painful. Because, seriously, that game on the highest difficulty is brutal as fukk.

 

People are unapologetically buying this shit from small-time vendors.

Like Halo 2 and Halo: Reach on Legendary. No trauma from those at all. No, Sir!

It doesn't help that the PC ports have double the AI tree tick rate of console; meaning that enemies notice the player and react in half the time as on console (0.16 second vs 0.32 second), are twice as likely to ignore allied AI and attack human players than on console (meaning that using allied AI soldiers as meat shields is pointless), are twice as accurate with their aim, their shots have higher velocity, strafing sideways does not reduce enemy shot damage the way it does on console, dodging most attacks is nigh impossible, and their melee attacks are also 1.5 to 2 times as fast with greater hitbox registration. It also does not help that the player character on Legendary in these two games is so weak, that they literally have the second lowest HP of any combat unit in both games.

Fair. However, he doesn't make impulsive purchases the way you do. Or at least not that I know of. If he does, let me know, and we'll bully him together.
