Same as Sun God. It took 800 chapters for Zounisha to make that connection because she is the first who had direct contact with Joyboy.

As I said MAYBE Sun God Nika wasn't meant at first to be Luffy, M A Y B E, but all fingers hinted towards him, same for Joyboy. You don't need a brain to make that connection.

We might assume if it was foreshadowed or not, but manga panels heavily imply stuff that it's Luffy.

Sure Oda can change the story as it goes but infos so crucial have a domino effect for everything else.

That Gum Gum-Nika Nika fruit single handedly explained a bit of void century, Joyboy and made a "whole new" story for Shanks and how he obtained it, ties heavily into Elders now and their plot point that they searched for it for ages and builds heavily into slaves.

And I don't get why would Oda make such a crucial change to the fruit if it wasn't planned because that fruit now COULD be IF it already isn't an important PIECE in Void Centruy plot.

We are talking about 1 apparent change which connects Joyboy, Void Century, Shanks, Elders and slaves.

That too me is a very crucial point to be made on the go because if it was changed mid story, that would mean, elders, void century, Joyboy, Shanks and slaves had a whole different plot.

Doffy's detail isn't even on the same scale of what of a domino effect Sun God now is.

I'd say Luffy - Joyboy had same connections as Luffy - Sun God later in the story. It was then when Luffy awakened it, we or me at least went OHHHHH, because then you remember Skypiea, Who-Who, and the slaves plot.

Massive finger point to Luffy.

I feel like Sun God info is such a crucial info because it has important place in many of current plotpoints.

Calling it an asspull is just nonsense IMO. Especially after reading 1100 and you actually seeing info about it.

Fairs if you don’t agree, but calling it an asspull after seeing all infos is just not fair.

If Oda did it on the go while writting the story without any planning of these connection, we are talking about a million IQ writting skill, because how else do you tie 1 thing for like 4-5 different plotploints and make it make sense.

I maintan my view of Sun God heavily being linked to Luffy, same as Joyboy because we've been introduced to all plotpoints with Luffy as the front runner.
