Akame Ga Kill Section or Beserk Section?

 

We don't need anymore sections, we have enough already.

 

Are you intending on having instant chat rooms?(Not really asking you guys to make one, just asking whether it crossed your mind or not)

 

The forum is a chat room itself, there no need for one atm.

 

People are changing their names too ******* much. It's hard to keep track of.

Are you guys going to have any rules regarding name changes? If not, could we not have some sort of drop down menu (Like in Steam) where it shows the last used names?

I personally think we should limit it too, but I also need @Kagerou and @Shirou thoughts too, so we can make a decision.

 

Another forum I'm on lets their users change their names every 2 months. Something like that could possibly work.

 

Chatboxes kill forums, repeated experience shows that they should never be added. This is because people tend to post in the chatbox more than in the forums. So the forums simply go inactive. I think it's best if you use the chat thread. Also, the material posted in chatboxes lack permanence. Most Chatboxes delete the data present which means the conversations get wiped out. However if you post in the Forum you get Post Counts + Your conversations are permanent.

Well one way to solve this would be to make a single series discussion thread. However, the problem with that is that it severely limits discussion and people get fed up of double to triple posting to keep the thread alive. Since, all the discussion is limited to one thread, it stagnates because new material cannot be posted in separate threads. So, this for me is not a viable option.

However, an idea that I have is to use Series tags. For example, here : http://www.sugoidesu.net/forums/anime-manga-discussion.8/ , we can add series tag threads like this :-

[Berserk]
[Akame Ga Kill]
[Feng Shen Ji]

This is what I mean by thread tag :

This will bypass the need of a section or that of a single discussion thread. If members want to make a thread on Berserk, all they need to do is make the thread and add the Berserk tag. It allows thread making freedom which would only be allowed in the specific section it should have had.

If a series goes beyond a set amount of tags, like 15 threads have Berserk tags, then a section can be made based on the activity levels.
