Also...Isn't there another anime called Samurai 7, why did he chose that title?

 

ye since S8 sucked but its fans were pretty toxic believing Kishimoto work means instant masterpiece and success so when the first sales came out it did poorly for a new manga let alone as work from kishi. Shueisha spend huge tonne of money on promotion but first two volumes ended up selling only 10-12k in first week. Next 2 volumes also had dismal sales. But the fanbase was adamant it was masterpiece and wait till it get animated you all will be worshipping it yadayada
The people who received worst from them were Bleach Fanboys becoz

1.Bleach Anime was canceled and more than 200 chaps was left unadapted
2. Bleach Manga ending was not well received
3. Since Bleach was Big 3 so its fan did diss Samurai8 i mean everybody did but Bleachtards were soft target

Then in swoop on same day Samurai 8 got axed Bleach's final arc got Anime green lit and its Spinoff Burn The Witch got a mini series and anime film.


yeah there is dunno why kishi named it that

Also there was no need for him to use his name to promote S8.
In the week when new vol of s8 was released whichever manga you bought has a flyer in it saying Go buy kishi's new work which was pathetic lol

 

Makes sense given only 7 ep are left
