One of the greatest aspect of ODA's writing unlike kishimoto is every small details matter and those small arcs you see lays foundation to the larger ones so everything is connected.

And God he hits you with curveballs. Also After Alabasta and Skypiea the next Big Arc is Water 7/Ennis Lobby probably one othe greatest Arc in Shonen
