I think what lojzini is trying to explain is this:
The Uchiha's were a proud warrior clan who went as far as to plan a coup in Konoha over their treatments. Rather than make known Danzo's crimes, Madara and Obito hid away in the shadows plotting revenge. Simply put: These proud fucks were just too arrogant to make people see the Uchiha clan as victims of some genocide and gain any form of sympathy. What they wanted was vengeance, not pity from people they saw as weaker and beneath them.
