True.. The winter route on this mountain leads inside a so called "Scar". The length of the fall is potentially over 600meters. This is certain death without extreme luck and winter equipment.

The Scar route is dangerous not only because of the long slide. It is virtually a wedge shaped, over 600 meters long pipe, if an avalanche comes down, it 100% goes there, right where the hiking route is.

By the way this is the same mountain we've conquered with my dad, the highest peak in Poland. Though in winter the route we've taken becomes godlike level, die to rocks and chains being slippery or hidden under snow. That's why people go in the scar, it is easier.
