The guy actually makes some great points, TLO just doesn't have a commanding air to them. Also, I'd forgotten how Hux gets humiliated by Snoke and Kylo. Not sure if I should laugh or feel sorry for the guy. It's weird seeing all the breakdowns of Kylo and such, which make sense given how messed up his head space is, but still, him at the beginning of The Force Awakens was pretty good, I was somewhat intimidated when he just puts up his hand and one-ups Vaders laser pimp slap.

Hux is being used as a "rabid attack dog" according to The Last Jedi novelization. Hux's second in command and Captain Canady were eagerly waiting for the day when he would be cast aside and disposed of. So... Yeah, you're right to feel sorry for the bastard. He had a messed up childhood and was a mere tool to be disposed of as an adult.

Kylo Ren I always liked. And lately I've come to appreciate how he aspires to be as powerful as Vader but is quite different from him - more immature, more vulnerable, but still ended up growing and becoming his own master.

To me, Kylo Ren and ROTS Anakin (before he was barbecued) will always be more relatable and better written than suited Vader. Certainly not as badass, but better characters.
