Yeah naruto was still running after him despite him killing samurai's;acting homage and trying to kill the whole ******* village

Also before sasuke was planning to kill new team 7 in oro's hideout before being stopped by oro

 

Hence why i said before kage summit.

But yea that hideout kirin part was a bit out of character since he was pretty adamant about not killing anyone except Itachi (even all those fodders who attacked him during oros training). He was pretty serious about stabbing nardo too.

 

Naruto's logic:
If I can't save Sasuke, then I don't deserve to be Hokage.
