Whole south east of EU is shithole, Poland included. It is uncanny how quality of everything changes when you travel east to west through Poland. Better roads, nicer people, nicer architecture (see Wroclaw that is not that far from German border).. Communism scum basically left whole western Europe scarred and on its knees, it is hard to stand up.
