Suggestion Contest voting to scale to participants

How is 10 = 3
AOTW and GFX comps arent just for Prizes, they are for self improvement- How can you know you improved when you got no votes or just 1-2 cuz someone made exceptional and stole all votes?

 

If you get 3 votes and get second place...it's the same if you get 10 votes and get second place.Second place is second place.

Look...it has always been like that.Never been any problems.

This is not OJ and it never will be OJ.

Basically if you get 0 votes it means you need to learn.If someone with one vote CHOOSE you then it means he is happy with your work.

It has never been a problem because no one ever brought it up
and whats the response when someone brought it up? But its always the same.

When was last time you got 9 entries?
Last AOTW was 2 entries.

and that last line is perfect way to make people and especially beginners not take part in comp.

 

Votes are motivation source for beginners. Anonymous is always better to see what water you are in.
I did suggest it in first post tho that it should be 3 for 9
1/3rd of entries is only valid for a person to make choice.

This is what the norms are all over the internet.

 

You have 9 entries i can bet you that by the end of it there will be 4 with 0 votes and 1-2 with 1 votes while 1 will be way ahead and 1 will be with 1/3 of the 1st place votes and be second.

You get 3 likes means you can vote for 3 best entries there making it as people getting some kind of achievement of doign what they did and wanting to strive for more. There is a reason people get payed for doing work cause they need some way to strive, just some get payed less but all get payed in some way for what they did. You don't need to give half or more votes just 1/3.

It's not about votes making you better it's about getting some accomplishment from it. In the end the best will still win but even those that didn't do well will have some votes and will see people appreciate what they did in some way giving them the power to strive to get better and climb.

 

So we need to bandwagon everyone? cheers.

I never got 9 entries when there weren't enough people to begin with.If I said my real feelings towards current AOTW then it would be a bigger mess so don't tempt me.

I won't beg you for submitions it's your free will if you want to participate or not.All in all if you are beginner you will never do as good avatar as someone who is doing it daily.You learn you get better...points on AOTW should never be something to rely on since it's people opinions anyways.

 

In the end if you get enough points for second and third you'll get second and third place.Be it one point,2 points or million points.

Avatar which is second and third worthy will end second and third.

 

What's the point of entering the contest if it's not a will to win.

Lemme tell you what - Hosts are meant TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE to take part and and grow not you arent good so you shouldnt care anyway.
GFX Is done for people opinion, Might be a shocker. Who would have known, People create art for others to like.

 

How can something that is worth 2nd or 3rd be there if all vote for the other one? Lmao you don't make sense. Basically what you want is a competition where there is Upper class the Rich one for whom all care and the bottom the poor one for whom no one gives a ****. That's what the current system is doing.

If you can't win you can learn.

AOTW is not a feedback contest.You can get feedback from literally any thread in GFX.

The point of contest is to show your best and choose best.

But it doesn't that's the point not everyone will vote for one certain avatar
